The 2020 “Tony Bobian Memorial” High School MVP selection was the highly recognized senior shortstop from Pueblo South High School, Bella Archuletta.

This outstanding athlete is the daughter of Cecily and Dan Archuletta.

Bella maintained a 3.8 Grade Point Average. She received two academic letters and was a two-year member of the National Honor Society. Bella received four athletic letters in softball and two athletic letters in girls’ basketball. Bella was a dominant force in the South-Central League during her four years at Pueblo South High School.

As well as playing softball at Pueblo South High School, Bella played competitive travel ball with the Colorado Altitude. Her fielding percentage her senior year at South High School was .914. She had 95 putouts and only 19 errors in her four years at South High School. A powerhouse at the plate, Bella had a batting average of .442 and an on-base percentage of .496.

This humble athlete credits her success on the softball diamond to her parents and her siblings, Gauge and Margo. She would like to thank her coaches, Benji Kaber, Gabe Mares, Randy Cordova, Donald Nunez, and Wes Madrill.

Bella currently plays Division III softball at Concordia University in Chicago, Illinois. She has been awarded an academic scholarship.

Bella plans on becoming an orthodontist.
